Rachael Harlan is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoo Science, and started with Eagle Valley Raptor Center as a volunteer in 2004, shortly after its inception. She has close to 20 years’ experience working with birds of prey in captivity, wildlife rehabilitation, and educational programming. She has worked with over 15 different raptor species, from the diminutive screech owl to the majestic bald eagle, though her personal favorite is the osprey.

Carrie Lower started volunteering at Eagle Valley Raptor Center in 2018, moving up from cleaning cages and preparing diets (everyone starts at the bottom!) to handling birds and presenting educational programming. She has a Masters Degree in Business Organization and over 25 years of experience in non-profit management and support.

Jeff is an aircraft mechanic with 30+ years of experience, working for three different aviation companies. He is a sheet metal and structural specialist with experience in leading teams to do major repairs and refurbishment of aircraft. He’s also been an corporate jet maintenance instructor for 24 years, and is the lead instructor, as well as supervision and managed the upkeep of facilities.
He has held the office of president of the International Parrotlet Society, am a former member of the board of the American Federation of Aviculture. Jeff has raised and kept parrots since 1993.
